MSgt Stephen M. Stabler, Rest In Peace Brother

Stephen Stabler

Master Sergeant Stephen M. Stabler, 39, departed us too soon on 23 June 2009. Steve was born in Mobile AL, on 27 December 1969 and resided in Walnut Hill, FL.  He graduated from Ernest Ward High School in May of 1988 and joined the United States Air Force 1 year later as a Munitions Systems Specialist.  His first assignment would take him to RAF Lakenheath, England.  After 2 years, he transferred to Eglin AFB, FL.  In 1996, he received orders for a 1 year remote to Osan AB, Republic Of Korea, with a follow on to Hurlburt Field, FL.  He  deployed in support of Operations ALLIED FORCE, ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM. He is survived by his wife, Beth; daughters Catherine, West Yarmouth, MA, and Jade, Pensacola, FL;  parents, Judson and Ginger, Walnut Hill, FL; brothers Shannon, Ryan, Scott, Corey; sisters Reigh, Sonia, and Heather.

On behalf of and at the request of AMMO brethren, the “Hurlburt AMMO Memorial Fund” has been established to assist in offsetting expenses incurred for the funeral arrangements of MSgt Stephen M Stabler. Any and all remaining funds will be presented to the CMSgt Richard A. Gauvin Memorial Scholarship fund in the name of MSgt Stephen M Stabler.
