Charles Eaves
Charles Leon Eaves, 72, of Johnson City, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, September 14, 2012, from the Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Cobden, Illinois, he was the son of Noble and Zella Adams Eaves.
Charles loved the Lord and was of the Baptist faith. He proudly served his country for thirty years in the U.S. Air Force. Charles was a Chief Master Sergeant and served with the Rapid Deployment Force. He enjoyed camping and loved spending time with his family.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of fifty three years, Barbara Stanley Eaves; son: Charles Lynn Eaves and wife, Jennifer, Jonesborough, TN; daughter: Kimberly Ann Eaves, Alexandria, LA; sister: Jewell Annette McHughes, Anna IL; brothers: Donald “Don” Eaves, Tyler, TX, Robert D. Eaves and wife, Carol, Simi Valley, CA, Dan Eaves, wife, Caroline, and son, Evan, Fredericksburg, VA; grandchildren: Staff Sergeant Charles Justin Eaves and wife, April, Wichita, KS, Kristina Marie Grindstaff and husband, Greg, Johnson City, TN, Natalie Lynn Eaves, Walnut Cove, NC; great-grandson: Bryce Allen Eaves; great-granddaughter: Riley Madelyn Grindstaff; several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service for Charles Leon Eaves will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, September 17, 2012, in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services with Lynn Eaves officiating.
The family will greet friends Monday at the funeral home chapel from 11:00 AM till the service hour.
A Graveside and Committal service will be held in Cobden Memorial Gardens in Cobden, Illinois, on Wednesday, September 19, 2012.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home from 10:00 AM till the Committal service. Active pallbearers will be chosen from family and friends. Military Honors will be provided by Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 and the Military Honors Team of Marion.

After these many years, it is so great to rediscover this site. Great to be connected back again to keep up with news around the Ammo community. Strange as it may sound, I feel like being home
Chief Richard Gauvin memorial event is fast approaching. It is nearly 15 years (12 Feb 2013). I have been planning a commemorative like event. It will be the next year on the Presidential holiday weekend!
