Hi Chuck,
I did this for more than ten years and processed about 360 claims. I rovided transportation to and from the Indy VA and had great results. The best guys that I worked with is the WW 2 vets as their stories were the best I've heard. It was easy to translate their stories into something the VA could understand and make a correct decision on. Many vets from the Korean War were WW 2 vets and that provided a basis for their claim. The worst were VietNam vets and their claims as it was almost impossible as to their locations in country. I had one non-vet claimed that he was a POW in country and when I ask him where he was he said "you know, around". But I feel I have provided alot of free support and have only written claims for five 461/462/316/464 troops. However, I commend you for your efforts in supporting out brothers and sister AMMO TROOPS. Its a tough job and if I can help please give me a call at 812-583-3548 or cell 812-278-0111. I am retired (retarded) from Civil Service from the Navy/Marine Corps but never AMMO. I spoke with Ron Culligan about 6 months ago and he is doing well. E-mail letti500@hotmail.com

Carl the first female AMMO Troop was Claudia Parsons as she worked or me in Storage & Handling. She was an outstandind AMMO Troop. If you remember we had one bathroom in our building and it was a chore in keeping it clean. Due to the rank structure I had to assign her to Henry Foy. We had Msgt Bill Stuart, Chief Marty Burchett, Capt. Springer SMS Ron Supka, SSGt Steve Howard, Sgt Bulger, Of course Al Hopel. I always gave him a pass to take scrap off the base. I always said I was coming over to his house and yell ten-hut and watch the walls of his fall in.

I'm looking forward to this fall's reunion and the opportunity to talk "AMMO" with my fellow Chiefs. There are a lot of great things about McMinnville, Oregon but talking Ammo is not one of them. See you in October.

Hi Vickie, Glad to finally find you! You've been a tough one to track down! Lots of folks remember you, they thought you retired out of Shaw, so I've been trying to find you around there. Looks like you were right behind me at school, then again at D-M, I was their first female in October of 1978, left there in December of 1979 to go to Spangdahlem. Glad I'm able to officially add you to the list with your correct dates!
